Numbers can sound abstract. A school, a graduation, a science project or a rapid response does not.
Zarghona Ana School
Students in Grades 8 to 10 completed exams and moved forward, in a country where those grades are closed to girls.
Sitara School
A graduation in Kabul put certificates into students' hands and made completion visible, specific, and real.
Soraya School
A science competition with student-built models and presentations, because girls barred from laboratories still do science.
Our teams were already in the community.
When earthquakes struck Kunar and Jalalabad, an eight-person team of doctors, nurses and distributors supported more than 300 people with medical care, medicines, referrals and dignity kits.
