Sarah Hussain is an award-winning British journalist with more than a decade experience in writing and editing. Sarah launched an initiative with LEARN to teach journalism to Afghan girls aged 13-21 who have been banned from attending secondary and higher education in Afghanistan.

Holding weekly remote classes, Sarah helps girls who want to pursue a career in journalism or are passionate writers to develop their skills and knowledge in the field. She taught and mentored the first cohort of girls (2023-2024) until they graduated and is currently teaching the 2024-2025 cohort.
