LEARN Afghan is a women-led nonprofit organization providing education, healthcare, humanitarian support, and pathways to further study and work for Afghan girls and women. Founded in 2018 by Pashtana Durrani, LEARN operates across 24 provinces of Afghanistan through 25 underground digital schools and flexible online, offline, SIM-supported, radio, and AI-supported learning. Since 2019, LEARN has educated more than 10,000 girls, with more than 4,100 students currently enrolled and 824 graduates prepared for higher education. Its wider education initiatives include 17,794 registered learners through Roshan SIM-supported learning, which has reached 2 million people, while Radio Azadi education broadcasts have reached more than 9 million people. LEARN also provides maternal healthcare, midwifery education, and humanitarian assistance to women, girls, and families across Afghanistan. LEARN has published an annual impact and financial report every year since 2019 and holds a Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency. LEARN Afghan Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 92-1094823).
